Some of the aircraft are equipped with VGs (vortex generators) on the wings, permitting incredibly slow flight with crisp handling. Shoulder harnesses are standard equipment. All airplanes are equipped with an headsets and intercoms. You also have the option of taping your entire experience for your viewing pleasure. The airplanes are a joy to fly and the visibility is phenomenal. You will truly be part of flight!
Getting To Our Maine OpsCCAS' nothernmost base of operations is located in Millinocket, Maine, about 20 minutes off Interstate 95. By car we're an hour and a quarter from Bangor; three and a quarter hours from Portland. Portland--which now features JetBlu and Air Tran--has excellent air service by major carriers with multiple jet flights daily from cities nationwide and abroad. Rental cars are available. Our Fairfield, Maine operation is located approximately an hour and a half from the Portland Jetport. Air service is also available to Augusta, Bangor and Bar Harbor, Maine. Travel Times

Millinocket Municipal-Maurice McLean Memorial Airport has two grass runways, one grass gravel runway, and one short gravel runway that we use for the optimal CCAS experience. The airport also features published approaches to a lighted and paved runway.
Central Maine and ElsewhereOur Central Maine location at Fairfiled-Sabbatus Aerodrome comes on line in late spring of 2008 and eatures a grass airstrip, fuel and some hangar space. This conveniently located field will house the mainstream training ops (PPL and LSA). CCAS also offers flight experiences nationwide in unique locations, including biplane tailwheel.
