All of our experienced pilotss are FAA licensed and love to share the joys of flight--particularly in "classic" airplanes. You'll enjoy their wisdom, anecdotes and drive to make each and every flight a unique experience. Flying is fun and we specialize in a good time-you will be a part of the experience!

Your airplanes

CCAS Cub Special at Luckeys Landing, Pushaw Lake, MaineYour safety and comfort whilst enjoying your flying experience is our utmost concern. Our principal aircraft are classic taildraggers (J-3 Piper Cub, PA-11 Cub Special,PA-12 Super Cruiser, PA-18 Super Cub), all completely rebuilt and modernized.

Some of the aircraft are equipped with VGs (vortex generators) on the wings, permitting incredibly slow flight with crisp handling. Shoulder harnesses are standard equipment.

All airplanes are equipped with an headsets and intercoms. You also have the option of taping your entire experience for your viewing pleasure. The airplanes are a joy to fly and the visibility is phenomenal. You will truly be part of flight!

Getting To Our Maine Ops

CCAS' nothernmost base of operations is located in Millinocket, Maine, about 20 minutes off Interstate 95. By car we're an hour and a quarter from Bangor; three and a quarter hours from Portland. Portland--which now features JetBlu and Air Tran--has excellent air service by major carriers with multiple jet flights daily from cities nationwide and abroad. Rental cars are available. Our Fairfield, Maine operation is located approximately an hour and a half from the Portland Jetport. Air service is also available to Augusta, Bangor and Bar Harbor, Maine.

Maine Sites

Millinocket, Maine based CCAS operates year round from Millinocket Municipal Airport (KMLT).

Millinocket Municipal-Maurice McLean Memorial Airport has two grass runways, one grass gravel runway, and one short gravel runway that we use for the optimal CCAS experience. The airport also features published approaches to a lighted and paved runway.

The airport features an FBO that offers a range of services, including 100LL for those of you flying in for your adventures. You may contact them directly at 1.207.723.6649. Maintenance services are also available.

Central Maine and Elsewhere

Our Central Maine location at Fairfiled-Sabbatus Aerodrome comes on line in late spring of 2008 and eatures a grass airstrip, fuel and some hangar space. This conveniently located field will house the mainstream training ops (PPL and LSA).
